Numbers to 10

First Graders are learning how to count, read and write within 10.  Countable items are used to develop the association between the physical representation of the number, the number symbol and the number word.  This week we played a fun game called, "Spot the Dot" in which students had to identify a number on a ten frame card and match that number with the number word on their "Spot the Dot" Dog. Our students had fun reading the number words and being the first to color in all of the dots on their dog.
