Think Globally, Act Locally
This year our theme at Hough Street School is THINK GLOBALLY, ACT LOCALLY!
Each grade level will present a Science Unit that connects to this
important theme. Yesterday, we visited Mrs. Magdalener's 3rd grade class and
learned about the effects of pollution on plants. The students watched a short video
that was created by the 3rd graders and talked about ways they can help
the environment.

Holiday Friendship Chain
Today, we enjoyed spending time with
our first grade friends to make a special friendship craft! The students had
the opportunity to add 10 links to a first grade chain. Stop by the
first grade hall to view our paper chain! Can you guess how many
links are on our friendship chain? Ask a first grader to see how close your
estimate is to the actual number of links!
