Paired (Buddy) reading is a research-based fluency strategy used with
readers to improve fluency. In this strategy, students read aloud to each
other. When using partners, more fluent readers can be paired with less fluent
readers, or children who read at the same level can be paired to reread a story
they have already read. Paired reading can be used with any book, taking turns
reading by sentence, paragraph, page or chapter.

Nature Lady - Frogs & Toads
This week the Nature Lady visited our classroom and shared some interesting information relating to both frogs and toads! She shared awesome photos and cool displays. We also got to touch a frog skeleton!! This was a perfect connection for our classroom, since we are the First Grade Frogs. Check out our awesome frog hats! A special Thank You to Emme for the fun hats!!

Shapes
3-D means the shape has 3 dimensions; length, width, depth. All 3-D shapes are solids.
2-D shapes have area, but no depth (they are flat).
